Hillside Escape is the perfect cabin for 2 families with kids or a getaway for 2 couples.

We are located in the beautiful Wears Valley area only 3.2 miles from the General Store. The cabin features a large open concept for the kitchen and living room area with a full bath off the common area. Master bedroom 1 features a King bed with a private full bathroom. Master bedroom 2 also features a king bed with access to the main floor full bath. The front load washer and dryer are also located on the main floor. The open loft features the game room and 4 ground level twin beds, making it the perfect spot for kids to sleep.

The back porch offers a spacious cozy living space with a propane fire pit. Enjoy a cup of coffee or grille your favorite dinner on the charcoal grille out front.

Space Layout:

– 1680 Sq feet with 2 bedrooms, a full open loft with 4 twin beds and 2 full bathrooms.
– Bedroom 1 has a king bed and a full private bath.
– Bedroom 2 has a king bed and door access to the full first floor bath.
– The open loft features the game room and 4 single twin beds.
– The kitchen and living room are open concept so it allows you to never miss any of the fun.

-DVD player with an assortment of DVDs for those who want to relive their favorite past times.
-Jenga and card games for indoor fun
– Hot tub to relax in after a day of hiking.
-Propane Fire Pit on back deck

-Lawn care happens every 3 weeks and we can’t control what day it happens. It may be while you are staying at the cabin. They are usually in and out in 30 minutes.
-Drip coffee maker and a Kurig (BYO coffee and KCups)
-Charcoal grill out front. (BYO charcoal)
-All the kitchen supplies you need to cook a meal. (BYO food and condiments)

You will be provided a door code specific to you before check-in. No need to meet anyone for keys. You get the whole house and back deck to yourselves.

There is very little cell phone service but we do have WiFi so your phone will work as normal once connected.

The cabin is on a paved mountain road but it is steep. When traveling to the Great Smoky Mountains we always suggest 4 wheel drive.

-All Guest must be 18+ to book (children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult)

-Private parking for up to 2 vehicles

-Quiet time is 11PM

-This is a no smoking property. If you smoke inside, there will be an additional fee of $500 minimum to remove the smoke smell.

-As much as we love our furry children, there are no pets allowed at the cabin. If you bring a pet, you will be asked to leave immediately and be charged a $500 fee.

-We provide an initial supply of toilet paper and paper towels but you might need to purchase more if you have a longer stay.

-There are bears that live in Tennessee. You may see one during your travels in the Smoky Mountains. If you see one, do not approach it and do not feed them. We want them to remain in nature away from humans and not feeding them helps accomplish that.

-There is a bear proof bin that the trash cans are in located next to the driveway. Please place your trash in the cans, inside the bin.

-The house is on a well. The water is safe to drink but feel free to bring your own if you prefer bottled spring water.

-The inside fireplace is shut down April 1st to October 1st and this is standard for every cabin in the area.

-If you are pregnant or have been drinking, we recommend you do not use the hot tub.

-We can not accommodate late check-out or early Check-in. We pride ourselves in having a clean cabin for you to stay in so we must give our cleaning team enough time to do their job in between guests.

-We have an owners closet located under the steps that is stocked with spare items and therefore is locked.

-If you are late to check out, we reserve the right to charge $2.00 per minute past your scheduled 10AM checkout.

-A lot of people have sensitive skin so we ask that you bring your own soaps, shampoos and toiletries.

– Our kitchen is stocked with the essential cookware but we do not provide condiments, paper plates, etc. You can pick up your favorite condiments at the local country store, or the nearby Walmart.

-At our home, you can enjoy nature at its finest. We are on a comprehensive pest control program with regular treatments by a local professional but our location means that you may have experiences with critters of the 4, 6 or 8 legged variety. To help ensure they stay outside, please keep the doors closed at all times.

-The cabin is on a paved mountain road but it is steep. We recommend 4 wheel drive when traveling in the Great Smoky Mountains.
